Julie’s work reflects her love of Montana outdoors and vibrant color. She is happy to be working and playing in her home state.
Much of Julie’s latest works utilize acrylics and hand applied sheet music. Surrounded by a family of musicians, using antique sheet music in her mixed media pieces comes naturally! Various Montana landscapes, combined with aspen or black cottonwood trees, are featured throughout the seasons. Her pieces illustrate the connection with nature’s beauty and song.
Lifelong learning is a passion for Julie. She’s earned degrees in elementary and gifted education and been fortunate to work with many students as a teacher in Idaho, Washington and Montana. She is now finding joy in learning as a creative artist. Discovering and honing skills in oil, acrylic, clay and mixed media professional workshops continues to shape and influence her pieces.
Living in Great Falls, Montana provides beautiful surroundings and rich art culture. She draws personal inspiration from self-made, talented artists in her endeavors.
